<p>Be sure to read this article from Mailchimp &#8211; <a href="https://kb.mailchimp.com/accounts/management/collect-consent-with-gdpr-forms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">https://kb.mailchimp.com/accounts/management/collect-consent-with-gdpr-forms</a> &#8211; in addition to making your mailchimp form compliant, you will need to send an email to existing subscribers and they have a sample template referred to on this same page &#8211; <a href="https://kb.mailchimp.com/accounts/management/collect-consent-with-gdpr-forms#Collect-Consent" target="_blank" rel="noopener">https://kb.mailchimp.com/accounts/management/collect-consent-with-gdpr-forms#Collect-Consent</a>.</p>
<p>NOTE: Be sure that all of the SUBSCRIBE FORMS on your website as well as popup forms go to the GDPR compliant form that you create. I have noticed that some still go to a page that says thank you for subscribing or check your email for confirmation and does not show the form with the checkbox that &#8220;they&#8221; want to subscribe by email. There must be a check box that the user must check to confirm and give consent or at least that is what the experts are saying right now.</p>

<p>Google wants you to add both www and non-www URLs to google search console and then tell them which one is the preferred URL.  The preferred URL is the one where your site goes.  For example, my site goes to https://gritsdesign.com &#8211; non-www &#8211; so non-www is my preferred version.  Here is a screenshot of how you can set the preferred URL in google search conole &#8211; <a href="https://snag.gy/gOl5GM.jpg" rel="noopener" target="_blank">https://snag.gy/gOl5GM.jpg </a></p>
<p>If you have an SSL certificate, then you would add FOUR urls to google search console&#8211;https www and non-www and http www and non-www</p>
<p>Once the preferred version is set, you will only use this one to index your site.  For example, if your preferred version is www and you do not have an ssl certificate, then you would ONLY use this url in google search console &#8211; http://www.yourdomain.com.  If  your preferred version is non-www and you have an ssl certificate, then you would use this url in google search console &#8211; https://yourdomain.com</p>

<p>Are you tired of getting password reset emails? If so, wpbeginner has some code that you can install to DISABLE the password reset request. You can still change your password if you are logged in. But hackers will NOT be able to request a password reset, and you won&#8217;t get those ANNOYING emails requesting a password reset.</p>

<p>Privnote is a free web based service that allows you to send top secret notes over the internet. It&#8217;s fast, easy, and requires no password or user registration at all. Just write your note, and you&#8217;ll get a link.</p>
<p>Now you can send secure notes, ie, passwords, etc. that will self-destruct after being read.</p>
